I am a doctoral candidate at the Department of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Broadly, I want to understand how interest aggregation and feelings of powerlessness are related and how they can be decoupled. My supervisors are Florian Foos and Mathias Poertner.
My PhD thesis focuses on political representation and direct interactions between citizens and representatives. I investigate how face-to-face interactions between citizens, party members, and politicians contribute to representation. My research draws on field experiments, survey research and causal inference more generally. I enjoy collecting, analysing and visualising all kinds of data including survey, text, and spatial data.
By working with diverse democratic parties in both Germany and the UK, I combine practical campaign insights with rigorous academic analysis, and remain interested in working with political organizations seeking evidence-based insights into campaigns and party activist engagement. If you would like to explore potential collaborations, please get in touch.
